What is Tactical Krav Maga?
Tactical Krav Maga is one of the most effective Modern Martial Arts/Defensive Tactics systems in the world today. Tactical Krav Maga is a system which can be learnt in a reasonably short period of time, easy to apply and is low maintenance. TKM combines unarmed and armed defensive tactical solutions for any hostile environment. TKM is simply Krav Maga which combines Itay Gils (PROTECT) Krav Maga and real world experiences with Eyal Yanilov's (I.K.M.F) Krav Maga methodology in developing the TKM course curriculum.International Chief instructor Carl Halley who heads up TKM has over 25 years experience in the national and international security industry, trained in Israel, over 30 years practicing and teaching Martial Arts and Defensive Tactics, Australian government accredited Martial Arts Instructor, Member Martial Arts Industry Association, Martial Arts Australia and International Martial Arts Alliance. TKM's world wide HQ's are based in Sydney Australia.
TKM Pathways
TO ATTEND INSTRUCTOR COURSE1 - TKM member
2 - Completed units 1 - 10 under TKM qualified and authorized instructor
3 - Minimum 300 hours of TKM training under qualified and authorized instructor
4 - Be physically fit
5 - Criminal background check
6 - Must have Australian NCAS L1 government accreditation or equivalent
7 - Every year to maintain authority to work under TKM banner, must show on going education in TKM and must pay $AU 400 to display TKM logo and to be listed on official website, and operate their own club under TKM logo. One location only per fee. Certificate must be displayed.
8 - This certification will allow instructors to accredited persons in the TKM system units 1 - 10 only
TO QUALIFY FOR CHIEF INSTRUCTOR
1 - 125 Hours of TKM instructor education. This means an instructor will have to have actively participated in and been assessed in enough instructor courses to compile the 125 instructor hours required to complete the Chief Instructor course. Any instructor course with Carl Halley International Chief Instructor or Itay Gil TKM Technical director counts as hours. Must have a certificate as proof. Courses will be completed at instructors own cost and time. Must have completed at least 1 of the instructor courses with TKM HQ. All courses must meet TKM standards and be sanctioned by TKM HQ.
2 - Cert 4 work place training and assessment. VETAB course which will be completed at instructors own cost and time.
3 - 5000 hours of teaching time in Tactical Krav Maga. Must be recorded and proof shown. Just keep a log book and signed (name, date, contact details) by at least one senior student who attended. Your attendance book for example will suffice. 4 - Current financial instructor with TKM and be listed on TKM website at time of submission.
5 - Must be a full time professional instructor. This means it must be your main occupation.
6 - Must show Police background check. This should be completed 1 month at the most before submitting all documents.
7 - Written a book or 3 articles in a professional journal or made a DVD on TKM
8 - Each Chief Instructor will still be required to gain permission to issue certificates under the TKM Logo (registered trade mark) and the issuing chief instructor will need to be listed on official website to do so.
9 - Once chief instructor qualification is granted and authorization to issue certificates under the TKM LOGO is granted a person may issue instructor qualifications as long as all courses conform with the standards set down by TKM.
10 - A Chief Instructor will need to maintain a record of everyone certified and have them listed on their official web site and on the official TKM HQ web site.
11 - A fee set down by TKM (currently 10% of standard Australian TKM instructor course cost) will apply to each certificate issued under TKM LOGO and must be payed to TKM.
12 - TKM HQ in Australia must be kept up to date with results from instructor courses where a certificate has been issued.

About our classes
Induction day for TKM will be every Tue at 730pm.
- Person must be 16+ (with parental consent) to attend.

TKM Membership:
- $110 for 1 month
- $279 for 3 months
- $179 for 10 lessons
- $90 for private lesson
- Must have own protective equipment
- Martial arts store on site
- City classes are held at TKM centre 407 Princes Hwy Sydenham, PARKING AT REAR
Basic Class:
Tue/Thurs 730 - 830pm
Sat 11 - 12PM
Intermediate Class:
Monday/Wednesday/Fri 730 - 830pm
Advanced Class:
Saturday 9.30 - 10.30am - Private training at TKM Sydenham
Monday - Friday
Note: All persons wishing to attend regular TKM classes must complete the 2.5 hour induction course.
This allows a person to have an understanding of the basics on a theory and practical level.
